how/why volcanic erruptions have had a more glabal affect recently in terms of affecting air travel

when a volcanoe errupts it emits a thick grey cloud of ash that spreads accross the sky and doesnt settle onto the ground untill days later. the ask clouds are made of fine pulvourised rock and a number of gases which are then converted into droplets of sulphuric acid and other substances. flying through this thick ash is extreamly dangerous, or fatel. because of this danger, they do not fly through the ash clouds. flights can be delayed for days to ensure the safety of people. this also stops the world in its paths when important people are stuck in places at improtant times. These days most flights are compleatly booked out, this delays airlines and makes flying more dangerous with more planes in the sky. this gas is ables to stall the aeroplane engine and force the airorplane to do a emergency landing, or if no land is nearby, crash into the sea.
